Our house is near from JR Atami station. Taxi is convenient in about 5 minutes. It's about 20 minutes on foot. It is about 7 minutes on foot from JR Komiya station, just next to Atami station.
You can shop at Supermarket (Ion Maxvaluue) in about 10 minutes on foot from our house. It is about 10 minutes on foot to the seaside beach and the yacht marina.
It is also about ten minutes from the power spot of Otsunesu tree of Komiya Shrine of Japan Natural Monument.
Transportation access to Hakone · Kamakura · Yokohama · Tokyo · Osaka · Kyoto · Mt. Fuji etc. is also convenient.
Activity is about 30 minutes to Hatsushima, and other sea fishing and day trip hot spring spa can be very fun and meaningful for both friends, family and children.
Atami has many annual events and you can enjoy it.
